As the leaves begin to change and the weather starts to shift, Tillamook county comes to life with many Fall related festivities, such as corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and craft nights! There really is so much to do! Below are a few things I have participated in and things that have been recommended to me to do this time of year.
Old house Dahlias is a pumpkin and dahlia farm with hundreds of varieties of vibrant dahlias and a two-acre pumpkin patch. Visiting Old House Dahlias will not only leave you with a cute locally grown pumpkin and a bouquet of flowers, but you can take a hay-ride behind a tractor around the field, which will show you another side to farming in Tillamook County! Open weekends 10:00AM to 5:00AM, Beginning Saturday October 7 through Sunday, October 29, 2023. https://www.facebook.com/
Another captivating local farm to visit this season is the Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze! Last year when I visited this corn maze there was a scavenger hunt hidden within the corn that challenged you to find all the clues to win a free gourd! We had such a great time and eventually found all of the clues we needed!

Looking for something to do the night of Halloween? The Tillamook Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual downtown “Trick or Treat” event where kids can visit participating local businesses (door-to-door) to collect candy! Our Rob Trost Real Estate Tillamook location will be open and have lots of candy for you to choose from! We look forward to seeing everyone’s costumes! Another fun and crafty night out is happening at Sunflower Flats in downtown Tillamook October 26th from 5:30-6:30pm where you can create your own pumpkin flower arrangement! Spots are limited and fill up quickly. If you are interested in participating, give this number a call to reserve your spot! (503) 842-4411
The weekend before Halloween, October 28th, the Doryman's Association and the Kiwanda Community Center are hosting a trick or treating party from 5-7pm at the Kiwanda Community Center in Pacific City. This will be a great kid-friendly event and costumes are highly encouraged!
Whether you are looking for a fun weekend activity to do with the kids, or a fun date night for just the two of you, there are so many local options for your fall festivities! Not only are these either close-by or right here in town, but they will give you the opportunity to explore what our coastal communities have to offer and introduce you to new friends!
